My art focuses on the devastating impact of oil spills on both the environment and the cultural heritage of the Niger Delta in Nigeria. Through my work, I aim to raise awareness about the reckless environmental destruction occurring in my homeland. The ongoing oil spills in the Niger Delta region severely damage the environment, posing a significant threat to the cultural and well-being of its people.
I use materials such as plastic containers, crude oil, and wood in my artwork to provoke thought and dialogue about the role of oil in contemporary culture.
